Game: Share a Cookie Music Game

Preparation:

  • you will need something to play music (cd player, iPod, etc)
  • cut out enough construction paper circles (full sheet size) for one per girl

How to Play:

  1. Distribute the construction paper circles around on the floor.  These represent cookies.
  2. Play the music.  The girls dance around the floor, NOT touching the cookies, until the music stops.
  3. When the music stops, each girl stands on a cookie.
  4. When the music starts again, the girls start dancing and the leader removes two cookie circles.
  5. Now when the music stops, some girls will have to share a cookie.  This is to show how we can all share and be a friend!
  6. Continue removing cookies when the music is playing until there is just one cookie left.  Now all of the girls have to share just one cookie.  To do this they may need to put just the toes of one foot on the cookie.  If one person stands in the middle of the cookie, this is not sharing as there won't be enough room for everyone.  We all need to share!
