    • Brownies yell – “You scream”
    • All yell – “We all scream for ice cream”
    • Variation: Leader can ask girls to use the same degree of loudness as she does e.g. Whisper, talking voice, yelling!
  • What do you think would happen if you were at home and you screamed at your mom, “Get me some ice cream?” or if you were at a restaurant and you screamed at the waitress, “Get me some chocolate ice cream for dessert?” When we were doing the ice cream yell it was for fun.  Why are manners important? How do good manners make us and others feel?

6:20 – 6:25 pm

  • DRAMA
  • Girls pretend to be ice cream and follow the directions of the leader.
  • “What flavour of ice cream do you think Brownies would turn into? (Something orange? Something nutty? Let girls decide.)
  • Imagine that you are a carton of strawberry ice cream on the shelf of the freezer.  BRRRR! The freezer door opens and you hear Danielle saying, “It’s such a hot day that I would really like a strawberry ice cream cone!” All of a sudden you turn into a big, round scoop of ice cream sitting on a cone.  You feel yourself being carried outside so that Danielle can enjoy her ice cream cone sitting on the front door stop.  Oh, oh! The first big lick and off you roll onto the sidewalk.  The pavement is so hot that before you know it you can feel your round shape melting into a great big strawberry puddle! I hope there is enough ice cream left in the freezer for Danielle to have another scoop!
