Song: My Pigeon House

This charming German melody is ideal for a quiet song and lends itself readily to imaginative actions, eg, clasped hands for a pigeon house opening to free the birds; fluttering fingers for wings; a point upwards to the "tallest tree"; and head bent sideways resting on folded hands, eyes closed, as pigeons coo themselves to sleep.

My pigeon house
I open wide
As I set all my pigeons free.

They fly about
on ev'ry side
and they perch on the tallest tree.

But then they return
from their merry, merry flight;
they close their eyes and they say, "Good night."

Coo-coo, coo-coo,
Coo-coo, Coo-coo,
Coo-coo, Coo-coo, Coo-coo.
